Name:
1. The association shall be known as the Yokohama International Studies Association of Meiji Gakuin University (abbreviated as "YISA").

Establishment Date:
2. The establishment date of the association shall be December 3, 2016 (Saturday).

Location:
3. The association shall be located at the following address: 1518 Kamikurata-cho, Totsuka-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa 244-8539, Research Institute attached to the Faculty of International Studies, Meiji Gakuin University.

Purpose:
4. The purpose of the association is to promote cooperation, collaboration, and mutual exchange among students, graduates, and faculty members of the Faculty of International Studies and Graduate School of Meiji Gakuin University, to activate independent learning and research activities of students, enhance the activities of graduates in various social fields, and ultimately contribute to the establishment of a peaceful world as stated in the founding philosophy of the Faculty.

**Activities:**
5. The association shall carry out the following activities to achieve the purpose mentioned in the preceding section:
(1) Management and operation of alumni networks
(2) Organizing lectures, research meetings, symposiums, training sessions, etc.
(3) Promoting interaction and camaraderie among members
(4) Developing educational research projects that connect the society and the Faculty of International Studies
(5) Any other activities that contribute to the objectives of the association

**Members:**
6. The association shall consist of current students, graduates, and alumni of the Faculty of International Studies and Graduate School of Meiji Gakuin University, as well as current and retired faculty members.
2) In addition to the members mentioned above, individuals who support the purpose of the association may be designated as supporting members.
3) Honorary members may be appointed based on recommendations from the Faculty Council or Alumni Association.

**General Assembly:**
7. The association shall establish a general assembly as the highest decision-making body for its operation. The general assembly shall deliberate and decide on budget, final accounts, annual business plans and reports, amendments to these regulations, and other proposals put forth by the operating committee.
2) The general assembly shall be convened by the chairman and held once a year. However, it may be convened on an ad-hoc basis when necessary.
3) All members have the right to participate and speak at the general assembly, except honorary members who do not have voting rights.

**Officers:**
8. The association shall appoint the following officers. The officers shall execute their duties based on the trust of the general assembly.
(1) Chairman (Dean of the Faculty of International Studies)
(2) Vice-Chairpersons (several)
(3) Operations Committee Members (several)
(4) Treasurer (1 main, 2 vice, totaling 3)
(5) Audit Committee Members (2)

**Operating Committee:**
9. To facilitate the smooth implementation of the association's activities, an operating committee shall be established under the general assembly. The chairman of the operating committee shall be appointed by the Faculty Council of the Faculty of International Studies.
(1) The operating committee shall consist of members appointed by the general assembly, including current students (undergraduate and graduate), graduates or alumni, and faculty members (current and retired).
(2) The operating committee shall convene as needed by the chairman to organize various events such as lectures, networking sessions, maintain the website, edit and publish newsletters, and carry out other activities in line with the association's objectives.
(3) The operating committee shall be responsible for submitting proposals to the general assembly.
(4) A secretariat shall be established under the operating committee. The secretariat's expenses shall be considered part of the association's regular expenses.

**Term of Office:**
10. The term of office for officers and committee members shall be one year, with the possibility of reappointment.

**Operating Expenses:**
11. The association's expenses shall be covered by membership fees, revenue from activities, donations, and other sources.

**Membership Fees:**
12. Membership fees for the association shall be determined separately for the following groups of members:
(1) Current students
(2) Graduates
(3) Faculty members
(4) Supporting members
(5) Lifetime members
(6) Honorary members

**Financial Year:**
13. The association's financial year shall run from April 1st to March 31st each year.

**Amendment of Regulations:**
14. Amendments to these regulations shall require approval from the operating committee, Faculty Council, and general assembly.

**Transitional Provisions:**
15. These regulations shall come into effect on April 1, 2017.
2) Detailed rules necessary for the implementation of these regulations shall be separately determined.
